        Instrument Rating

If you’re a non-instrument rated pilot, you’ve most likely experienced the frustration of cancelling flights due to low ceilings or poor visibility.

By becoming instrument rated, you’ll be able to control your airplane and navigate all the way to your destination by just referencing your flight instruments. It opens up many more opportunities for travel without weather limitations. In just 10 days of hard work, you can get this Instrument Rating. You can fly your own aircraft or choose from our fleet.

          How it works:

You’re assigned to one Instructor and one airplane for 6 hours each day and you’ll learn real-world instrument flying while flying cross-country around the southeastern US. In about 10 days of individualized experience, you’ll gain real confidence working the IFR system. The training requires full attention and dedication to work, but when you’re finished, you will be amazed at how much you have learned. This training will also give you techniques that will simplify otherwise complex procedures such as procedure turns, holding pattern entries, and many others.

          Includes:

                    Flight Instructor (CFI) Rating

Your love for flying can help others discover and develop that passion! It’s also a great way to increase your flight time and experience which helps your own career path.

Typically, landing a job with an airline, corporate or charter company requires a lot more flight time and experience than the 200-300 hours of flight time gained while earning your ratings. One of the more common ways to increase flight time is to become a Flight Instructor and teach at various levels. Certified Flight Instructors (CFI’s) can offer primary instruction for the Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Mulit-Engine Rating and Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. As a CFI, for every hour you teach your students, you too can log that time and get paid for it too!

The job of a CFI is considered a steppingstone to more lucrative positions, but some stay as teachers and enjoy the satisfaction of helping others. If certain hight standards are attained, CFIs can qualify for the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) “Gold Seal” which identifies them as a Superior Teacher.
